8" subwoofers vs 10" subwoofers

Very efficient little amp. Max draw is about 15 amps which is well within specs of the factOry wiring used if the truck is equipped with the Sony amplifier. I'll keep an eye on everything if I run into a issue I'll run new bigger power wire.

reminds me of the little (in size) amp i have powering the speakers in my bike and my jeep. needed something to fit inside the batwing fairing and that i could hide behind the dash in the jeep since i run it the majority of the time without a top or doors.

in the bike it is powering a set of 7.1" and 6.5" speakers, 4ohm each.
in the jeep i have two pairs of 6.5" wired parallel (2ohm load to the amp) on channels 1 and 2 and a set of 6x9 on channels 3 and 4 @ 4ohm.

Not the most desirable amp but if it doesn't meet my expectations I can either sell it cheap and get and regular larger sized 400-500 watt amp and run power cable from battery. I got dual 2ohm subs which can be wired at .5 or 2ohm final load. If this amp doesn't do good at .5 like mentioned earlier will get a bigger mono amp at 2ohm mono

Here is the little 200 watt beast by kicker. 100 at 1ohm and 200 at .5ohm. The 8" subs I got are rated at 125 rms watts each. Can be installed in sealed enclosures as small as .25cu ft but I went for the max size recommended at .45cu ft for better low end. I will be underpowering them by 25 watts each though. Not looking for window shaking bass just good clean low end to match the factory doors. To Ben able to adjust the bass up and down and to get a clean rca signal I'm using the audio control 2xi with the bass ****. Don't have slot of money tied up in this setup. Just a small setup that can be removed easily if I need the space under the seat.

I will get everything hooked up this weekend and see how it sounds. The guys on the forum that have it running single and double subs are pleased with the sound quality and output. I just don't wanna run a power wire just yet in such a brand new truck.
