$500 to spend on front components

I'm starting to plan out my audio upgrades for my 2014 STX crew cab. So far I'm planning on using a pioneer AVIC-4000NEX as the head unit and a single JL Audio W7 sub in a custom console enclosure. I have set aside $500 for my front components and would like recommendations. Is there anything better than the JL C5-570 set in this price range?

I'm most concerned with the front stage..i'm planning on adding a set of coaxials in the rear doors just for a little rear fill at some point. Since I'm looking at running a 13W7 in the center console, I kinda threw the budget out the window lol. Just really wondering how the C5 JL audios stand up against some of the focal line up.

It really comes down to your taste. You need to take a few of your favorite cd's and listen to different sets and see what you like. I would check out MB Quartz, Hertz or my favorite Focal.*As for rear fill, again that's a personal preference. I have a set of Focal coaxials but I have the fader all the way forward and I plan on bridging the 4 channel to a 2 channel just to power the front.

The JL's are great. They don't require a lot of power, yet have a full and vibrant sound. i used to install a lot of JL's never had anyone bring them back saying they were not happy. Personally, I wish Boston Acoustics still made car speakers. They were amazing.

Boston is a very good speaker and they are still making car audio. Subs, amps and speakers.

06beast, are those Q-forms or are they custom kick panels? Haven't been able to find any for a 2014 yet. Are you running a midbass driver in the stock door location?

Unlike my last (competition) vehicle, these are Q Forms and not custom made. Too lazy this time around. And no I am not running anything in the door. I Dyno Matted the crap out of these and running 6 1/2's crossed over at 80 and they really rock. Staging is nice and high and pretty deep. Width is decent but what do you expect from prefab.
