What is the extra 16 pin plug on my 2006 FX4 6 Disc/MP3 radio...?

What is the extra 16 pin plug on my 2006 FX4 6 Disc/MP3 radio...?
...Is it the heat/AC controls? I just installed a Kenwood 5160 DVD/Nav unit and the wiring harness I was given only plugs into the main radio harness. Everything works with that 16 pin plug disconnected, besides the Heat/AC/Defroster controls. Do I need a different harness? Is that what that plug is for, or do I have other issues?
I've searched high and low, but haven't found any info. I don't know if I was looking in the right spots or not. It was a cold morning when I realized I had no way to turn the heat on. Hah.

I didnt think that I had either of those. I do have the black antenna mounted on the roof. I guess thats the satellite radio ant.? I didnt see an option on the factory radio for satellite. Although I only used it for a day.
Hm. From what I read recently, I thought it was the factory subwoofer/amp plug. Now I'm really lost. Hah.

OEM Sat is accessed with the AUX button on the head unit, you should be able to see the Sirius box in the dash if you had it.
Sub connector is only 8 pin.
