My idea was to glue them all together and then use a router to cut out the spot to place the board, that way it was 100% level across all of them. I'm not sure if I can do that with the fence on the table and push it across of if I need to get a bit that will cut in 3/4 of an inch with a pilot bearing on it.
Thoughts on this vs. adding the cutout to my template?

There is another method to make nice curves in MDF. It is called "kerfing". Probably the same amount of work as your method requires...
It is easiest to do if you "moisten" the outside of the MDF before you bend it.... only problem is you have to fill in the slits with a glue/resin when you are done to strengthen the material.

You are correct. You have to dump lots of resin down the slits to strengthen it. Both methods require the same amount of labour. Yours will definitely be strong the way it is planned. Just thought I would mention kerfing as not everyone has a table router.

Excellent work!!! As I've become more familiar with my router table, this will be the next method I use.

Looks like ill need 9 or 10 per side of the box. Good thing my wife really likes dust and noise....i did mention at one point earlier today, “at least its a healthy obsession, i could be out drinking and what not”

Looking great so far. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress.

Found some time to work on the box this weekend. I changed my design to make the build a little easier.
The new concept will just be a sandwich with some feet to asjust the height to match the seat contour.
Made a top and bottom, routered to match perfectly.
Glued sides together.
Test fit and it's tight but clears.
