I've only had my truck for three weeks as of yesterday.
I visited our local stereo installers and was quoted outrageous prices to upgrade the stereo.
I then turned to the internet, this forum and youtube to see other people were doing.
I saw where some folks were spending large dollars and building complicated systems.
I just couldn't do that.

I am still in the planning stages. At this point I will probably go with the amplified harness + sub output from www.plugnplaykits.com. Seems like quick and easy way to get more power to my stock speakers and get my sub-woofer set up going. When I am ready to upgrade my door and pillar speakers, if I want more power, I can just swap in a new harness and add a DSP.
Currently, I am trying to figure out if I want 1 or 2 10" subs. Looking at boxes from subthump.com or supercrewsound.com. If anyone has any input on the difference between 1 or 2, I would welcome the comments.

This is really a subjective question but I'll do my best to answer this from my experience and opinion.
1 sub if:
- You get a quality sub and amp &
- You don't need to shake the rear view mirror off the glass but just want a strong balanced bottom end.
- Space is a concern
- If you get an entry level woofers and a budget amp. The idea is you don't have to push them so hard to get a decent level and they will last much longer.
- You want mega bass - you need 2 high quality woofers with good power.
- Space is not a concern
