2018 SCREW XLT - 8" SYNC3 - 302A package - non-Sony 7-speaker system?

No fabrication to make the front stage speakers fit, per my installer. My firehouse is close to my installer's shop, so it is nice to get the work done while I am at work lol.
I actually pulled the trigger on the rear doors today. Decided on going with ( Kenwood Excelon XR‑1800P ) speakers for the rears. These are a 7" component speaker. I got a deal that I could not pass up today. These speakers required an adapter plate, but other wise no major modification.

Really leaning towards a set of Rockford Fosgate 6x9s - on the fence whether I go 2-way or 3-way (their 2-way has a silk tweeter, but their frequency response is only down to 46Hz, really looking for something around 30-35Hz), but I don't listen to much music with heavy bass anymore so... I have quite a few exterior mods I have yet to attend to, a couple interior mods, then I'll have some time to devote to audio.
Even thinking about an inline amp, but that's wholly dependent on how the upgrades sound. So hard to tell until they're in there, ya know?

You aren't going to find a mid that drops below 46 hz. That's really low for a door speaker.
It's also important to note that those parameters are measured in a controlled environment. I.e. a room setup to measure. A door is the worst possible environment and worst possible placement for a speaker. Getting anything audible that low in that environment will be near impossible without building an enclosure within the door for the speaker.

northwind,
Speakers will net you a notable improvement over the stock speakers. The stereo obviously will not sound louder, but it will sound slightly cleaner. You will get a little less distortion compared to stock speakers.
I went with a 2 way dash speaker and 3 way door speakers. I was hesitant about taking the shop suggestion of going with the HERTZ 3 way 6x9's, because of the highs being too much to handle. Im glad I listened. Now that I have the midwoofers in the rear doors and get an amp installed. The rear door bass will help offset the front stage highs. The 6x9's also will produce a significant amount of bass as well, because of the cone size.

All of the highs, mids, bass can be controlled so I'm not in complete agreement with the above statement. I've personally found that with proper installation/tuning, having more speakers ie 3-way or in my case, 5-ways plus tweeters in the pillars created a much more enjoyable experience. My rear door speakers only added a very small improvement of the overall sound. I used it as more of a fill. That's my 2 cents.
