This is awesome but I hate you. I have gone from wanting to just add the factory sub to wanting a custom 3 way front sound sage with DSP a whole bunch of amps channels and a down firing woofer under my seat.

Thanks guys! It's still a work in progress as I still have to finish off the pillars. I am waiting for a replacement tweeter (dropped and dinted the crap out of it) from my audio shop. I will then wrap them one last time (I hope) with black headliner fabric. Going to tint my windshield at the same time... ...only doing a 50% so it won't be very noticeable at all.

I am already considering selling my 10" jl sub, box and amp and replacing it with a Rockford Fosgate 12" Power T1S1-12 sub and Gladen RC12001 amp. Would like a bit more low end extension and I think the 12" sub would be the solution.

Small update. STILL waiting for my dealer to get me a replacement tweeter so I ended up purchasing a set of Focal Access tweeters. The highs are a bit more "crisp" but not harsh by any means. Should be an interesting comparison once I get the Helix tweeter back.

Because of work I had to put my truck on the back burner but I finally finished up the pillars by wrapping them in black headliner. The end result looks stock-ish...which is exactly what I was going for. I ended up keeping the Focal tweeters installed as my Helix tweeter was not replaced and looking at a slightly dented mesh cap was driving me crazy.

Huzzah! That's exactly what I want to do, except I will mill mount the tweeter on the other side of the mid so I can get it more on axis without protruding.

Did you cut the slit where the grab handle is and tuck it under, or just glue it on top? Either way, it looks clean.

Thanks guys. I originally wanted to have the tweeter closer than the mid, but looks trumped sound quality (personally I probably wouldn't notice a difference anyway). I masked up to the line of the grab handle and that is where I made my cuts. The key is using good adhesive as the crap you get from Canadian Tire is 100% pure junk once it gets hot inside the truck. Can't remember what its called off the top of my head, but it is a 3M product.

Since I just can't leave well enough alone (and can't say "No" to a great deal), I have switched out the Focal tweeters with a brand new set of Helix P 1T tweeters. They are a bit larger (a true 25mm vs 20mm) and are silk dome. Love the sound as they are not nearly as harsh as the aluminum domed Focals.

And...since it's my birthday on Saturday (turning the BIG 4-0) I also ordered a set of Focal K2 Power 6.5s to replace my Helix 6.5s in my front doors. I am excited to hear them as everyone I have talked to says they cannot be beat.

Lastly I am planning on upgrading my sub/amp to a 12" Rockford Fosgate T1S1 and then a Gladen RC 1200c1 to power it...but that will be a spring/summer build.
