I just installed a Swingcase this week. Probably my favorite addition to the box of my truck other than the Bakflip.

Also AJb, did you wind up doing the FORscan mods? I'm still waiting on my OBD adapter to get here (Amazon sucks by the way), but my truck is here and my amp should be here early next week.
I spliced into the factory harness behind the radio (have pictures closer to the front in this thread). I didn't do much research into a aftermarket harness as, you said, once installed it won't be coming out. I plan on doing some FORscan mods such as turning on the Bambi mode, disable drivers seatbelt warning, turning the signal light out warning off (to prevent hyperflash when I install my switchback signal leds).

I have found a couple odd things that happen now that I have tested and driven around a bit. The first thing, and really not a huge deal, is to do with the star/stop (no surprise lol). When the trucks starts up I have no bass for 2 or 3 seconds. I know this is due to the remote turn on wire that goes from the Audison to my sub amp. Is there an easy fix for this? The second only happens when I remote start the truck...as I open the door there is 3 or 4 quick "thumps". Just curious if anyone else has the same issues and what I can maybe do to fix them.

I would try getting your amp turn / DSP turn on from one of the other fuses. That might be an easy fix for both problems before having to delve into anything major. I plan to disable start/stop with FORscan when I do the audio signal alteration.

Try fuse 23. It works for our installs. It's located in the passenger footwell area.

Fuse 23 is what I tapped for my Audison and it works fine with auto start/stop. Also keeps the amp on with accessory power, like the stock system (so it only turns off when you open the door, not shut off the truck).

The 3-4 quick tumps is coming from the fuel pump priming for startup. My truck does the same thing.

But it only does this after I have remote started the truck...after it has been running a while.

On another note...been playing with the direction that my tweeters are facing since I can rotate them approximately 25 degrees in any direction. Surprised at how a small change in direction makes a huge difference in sound.

AND...I may have ordered a Raptor steering wheel and a harness from a F150 forum memeber...I'll be paddle shifting very, very soon...

That’s awesome!

Did the fuse change eliminate your thumping sound and power issue?
