Default 2018 F150 Audio System Wiring Diagrams

Hello all, I have been quietly utilizing these forums for information for quite some time and appreciate the knowledge I have gained from all areas of this forum. I felt it was time I contributed back to the community. I have access to all Ford wiring diagrams and as I wait for my STX to be built I have already been looking to add a subwoofer and eventual speaker and DSP/Amp installations. I wanted to share the 2018 diagrams from Ford as they interestingly list them in 3 categories. I thought I would see more categorization based on number of speakers (this is how current sources such as Crutchfield classify them). Instead they list them as Non-Sync systems, Sync 3 systems, and B/O Systems. Here are all the diagrams for the 2018 F150's. I hope they can help members in the future with their additions and upgrades with these systems.

Diagrams for the 2019's are not yet available. If they are different than the 2018 I will upload them as well. If they are the same I will update this post to reflect that.

I would recommend using a “fuse tap” that lets you piggyback off a key-switched circuit in the fuse panel. I use a test light to identify which circuits are key-switched as opposed to constant hot, then pick a circuit that is not critical to vehicle operation. ie: pick Seat Heater over PCM power.

On my 2018 I recall using fuse 23 in the passenger side fuse panel.

Hello,
New owner just picked up a 2018 standard cab F-150 and just learning a few things. Number one no rear speakers the radio has fade but nothing to fade to. Does anybody know if any wiring is in place to add rear speaker to a standard cab XL? If not has anybody added wiring guessing I would have to go directly to the radio?

Thanks Vince

In a standard cab, why would you want rear speakers? Your money is better spent improving the front stage.

Just a preference I like rear speakers. I can't tell you why I just do!
