Crutchfield tells me that the Focal ISC165's won't fit the rear doors of a 2017 XLT. They say the cone in the front of the speaker will hit the speaker grill when you put the door panel back on. What year did you put yours in? Did you put them in the rear?

I would think your 2015 would be the same as my 2017 in that regard also. Their probably wrong. For right now it's not a problem. I did order the Focal Integration ISS 690 6" x 9" component speakers for my front doors and they should be here Thursday or Friday of next week. I already have the Infinity's that I linked to in the first post in house so when the Focals get here I'm going to pick one or the other and go with them. If it's the Focals I'll have to try the Focal ISC165's and see if they fit my doors without hitting. If I decide to go with the Infinity's I won't have to worry they're supposed to fit. I'll let everyone know how it works out and what I finally end up using. Whatever it is I'll also post what my 65 year old ears think of the result!

I just looked with a flashlight, and there is easily an inch between the tweeter and the grill of the door card.

Thank you! I appreciate you checking that. I'm hoping the Focals sound good and now that I know the ISC165's will fit it makes it even better.

I'm also installing soon the same setup of focals. Just curious what adapter did you use for the rear speakers? I have seen where you can just cut out the original speaker and use it as an adapter.
Did you have to use any adapter for the front 6x9?

I'm still working on this project. Sort of changed directions with my install. I'm sound proofing the entire interior of the truck and then I'm going to install speakers. I did get the adapter rings for the front I got Metra 82-5606 and for the rears I got Metra 82-5605. This audio stuff is going to drive me nuts before I get it done! It's going to cost me more for sound deadening materials than the speakers will cost!

Haven't heard anyone mention these speakers--Morel Maximo Coax 6

6-1/2" 2-way car speakers

Got good reviews on Crutchfield and installed them in the front. Came with adapters for the opening and speaker connectors for the oem connectors. They have a 91db sensitivity, so they work well with the stock 7 speaker setup. Removed the center speaker and have just ordered a Kicker Hideaway sub for the back seat. The Morel speakers have great highs and clear mids. If you turn up the volume to 22, you can hear solid bass thumpin the doors. I just don't want to be at 22 all the time to get decent bass, so the sub is going in.

I could beat Crutchfield prices on those speakers big time.
