2017 v8 screw audio upgrade

i too suggest sealed. fwiw i have a pair of 8s in a sealed enclosure that only takes up the 60% side under my rear seat (i have an scab). most of today's 8s only require around 0.3cf of airspace and they can really perform. it may be something else to consider since you are wanting to conserve as much space as you can.

that is the difference between an authorized dealer and just another retailer. that's why i tell everyone and anyone to check with the manufacturer prior to making a purchase to ensure they are an authorized dealer. anyone can say they are authorized but only the manufacturer can provide you with a list of those who actually are. if you bought the amp from amazon and had problems you would be at the mercy of whomever sold it via amazon. if you bought from crutchfield and had a problem they would ship you a replacement and a return shipping label that day. i know, i had it happen to me

I like Crutchfield too. Usually if you order speakers from them they'll throw in the adapters/etc. for your vehicle gratis as well, so factor that in.
Alpine lists their authorized dealers on this page - scroll down for online vendors. If they aren't on that list you may (or may not) have warranty problems.
BTW the PDXv9 is discontinued, so there's probably a lot of old stock being sold off in the grey market.

i built my own enclosure. it takes up the 60% side and has two chambers, each at 0.35cf sealed.

I run the 10" version of this..but if I had to do it over I would run the 12"

It fits perfectly under one seat. I have mine in the middle rear seat as no one usually sits there.
This is the same one just slightly different shape. Measure and see which could work better

I also use the Alpine PDR-V75. The birthsheet for 2 ohms says 115 w rms for the speaker channels and 434 w rms for the sub channel which is about perfect for those JL Subs and nearly any component set.
The PDX-V9 is usually around 130 w rms for speaker channels and 530 w rms for sub. But this is rated at both 2 AND 4 ohms so gives more options. I am actually looking for a used one so that I can switch my amp out and use it in my wifes car.

Side note:
Those rockville amps are actually getting decent reviews over at DIYMA.

I don't think I would run one in my truck, but I would in my rzr or wifes car if I wasn't looking at upgrading my truck's amp.

If you do want a new pdx-v9 for $500
https://www.woofersetc.com/c-3-ampli...amplifier.html
And yes...woofersetc.com is legit.

Not even sure how they can sell it for $500 that's a good price. That's below MAP so if they are "legit" they are breaking contract.
