Did you tune the Audison yourself? If so, how difficult is it to tune? I have the same amp and dsp, but have a JL 12 and Hertz speakers front and rear. So far the shop who installed everything has needed 2 attempts at tuning this thing to finally have it close to where I want it. I'd like to fine tune it myself, but I don't have the software to do it. Is the software included in the purchase of the dsp?

I've had it tuned by a shop and I'm still playing around with it myself. Yes the BIT10 comes with a software CD that your dealer should have given to you - go back and ask for it. The time alignment settings are certainly time consuming to get it right, and there is a 31 band graphic to use as well. What's missing/excessive from your sound?

Originally I had 2 LC2i processors but the sound quality sucked, but the bass hit harder. Their first attempt got everything sounding good but the bass, it was gone. Now the bass is much better, but not like it was from the start.

Might ask them if they tapped into all 4 channels - the Audision unit allows for a 2 channel tap and keeps fading. But I found that often that limited bass.

Also - did you use Forscan to kill the EQ before running the De-EW process? Highly recommend. If you didn't, make sure you don't have the head unit set to
"Driver" within the EQ setup - that kills bass from the main channels.

I'll ask about that, thx. They probably don't even know what Forscan is. The EQ is still enabled and they tuned it while in "driver". When I stop by there to ask about the software disc, I'll see if they'll retune it while "all seats" is selected.

What does De-EW stand for?

Sorry - typo - meant "De-EQ" which is the process the Bit10 uses to normalize eq and time alignment from factory. I'll be interested to hear from you what if you got yoequr low end back when they run that process again and retune after changing the setting to all seats.

You're right about Froscan - audio shops aren't likely going to want to get into that, because they sell gear instead of using it to flatten the signal. I would argue a DSP is still very helpful. Get the gear you need for Forscan and do it yourself. One issue with DSPs (all of them) is that you tune at one volume setting from the OEM headunit and the EQ curves from the OEM unit change with volume settings. Using forscan to flatten the signal significantly reduces those volume dependent changes - allowing you to use the stock volume **** with better SQ across the volume spectrum.

any chance you can fix your pictures? I'll love to see them. How do you like the rd amp. I have been looking at them. I've had great sucess with the xd series(and slash) but don't think I need the hd amp. The I like all the components you picked. I would most likely pick similar products. Nice work!

HEY - looks like the pics are back in this thread - I can see them, see if you can. The RD is a great performer. I actually listened to the RD, an XD and a Kenwood Excelon amp with my Focals and chose the RD based on a warmth that was not there with either of the other two. The sub section has plenty of juice to run the sub i've got.

Yup I see all the pics. Nice job! I need to get a DSP for my setup now. Luckily with my 2.5" rear seat lift, all my amps simply lie flat on a board under the back seats. Really easy to service.
