Default 2016 XLT center speaker upgrade? Non sony

So i recently had my Alpine PDX V-9 5 channel amp installed with an LCI7 and sub. I had already installed alpine SPR in the front and rear doors. Only speaker I have not installed is the center speaker. Was wondering what does everyone recommend. I read its not necessary to but since my Birthday is coming up i figured its a small gift i can ask from my family. Any recommendations would be great.

Tang Band 3" bamboo full range. $38 each and these are the best 3" drivers on the market IMO and I've used and listened to a bunch. I ran a pair of these from 250Hz and up paired with some JL Audio ZR 6.5's in my old Honda Accord and they sounded outstanding! Even better after some tuning.

Those are out of stock at the moment so if you can't wait, these Fountek's are probably the second best 3" driver on the market. Not quite as warm sounding as the TB's but still excellent nonetheless. There is an 8 ohm version that's also superb but I prefer the 4 ohm version as it's a little warmer sounding.

I have scoured thread after thread looking to upgrade my stereo, and I have seen this over and over ad nauseum. I'm wondering if someone can tell me why most disconnect it instead of upgrading?

Thanks
Rich

From what I understand the center speaker is just a combination of the right and left signals and the soundstage is better if it is disconnected
