Default 2016 dash kit

looking for options and pros/cons of 2din dash kits for the 2016 f150 with factory small screen 7 speaker non-sony system.
i know there is alot required to convert but my factory display is dying again and not worth the price to replace a second time

I have the Maestro with an Alpine ILX-207 and the FTR1 Dash kit. It was very easy to install overall. I like it for the most part to replace the 4.2inch screen with a touch screen with Android Auto. It is a very good solution. However, in all honesty, I am actively working to convert to a Sync 3 system, I just want a more stock look at the end of the day.

I misunderstood, thought you wanted a double din. If your set on snyc 3 go back to stock and change out the bezel with an 8" and use forscan. If your looking for features? Get a higher end Kenwood deck since you already have the dash kit. Sync 3 is pretty primative and way behind times

I was the one who added the going to sync 3, not OP. It sounded like he was going to look for an aftermarket.

The maestro and ftr1 are from idatalink. I think it's a very good and easy to use system.

im going to go with the DDX6705S headunit, does the included mic have to be used? or can i just splice into the wiring for the factory sync mic in the headliner?

Not sure on splicing, but with my Kenwood system the mic is real easy to fish up the side pillar, tuck it in the liner then to the oem spot in the liner. People said sound quality was awesome.
