You can since most only use the rear for rear fill, but why would you? You have to install the Parrot harness anyway (well you dont but makes like easier) and again, more wattage, even if the gain is turned down, is not only safer for the speakers, but will allow them to sound better than running them off the limited power of the stock head unit. Consider how much more dynamic headroom an external amplifier has vs. the very limited headroom of any head unit, including many aftermarket head units.

While I agree that is is decent, lol, its still built on the Maxxsonics platform along with the current HiFonics, MB Quart and others. Also on the sub amp channel....220 watts is giving up alot compared to the Alpine @500 watts. Remember for the actual SPL to be noticed, you need a 3db gain...or simply put you must effectively double the wattage. I know from experience this amp will do rated 4ohm power of 70w/channel, but not much more. My Alpine is rated to deliver 100w into a 4 ohm load, which is already nicer to have, BUT the actual birth sheet shows it spec'd out at 146w/channel into a 4 ohm load. Again what does this mean? At any given volume level the Alpine will be dynamically louder and cleaner BECAUSE of the extra power. I do like the signal to noise ratio of 105...but again there is a vast difference between 105 and 112 of the Alpine. When there are soft passages in the music, the higher the signal to noise ratio, the absolute quieter the background recording is...less noise. I know Im being picky as it is a decent amp...just that IF you gotta spend coin, do it once and keep it for a long time...to perhaps even be used in your next car/truck. In car audio there is no substitute for good, clean, and abundance of power.
