Default 2015+ PAC Aftermarket Kit Install, with pics.

I got the ford PAC kit for 2015+. This kit will only work for the vehicles with 4.3" Radio. The nice part, it keeps the original factory AC controls. Another nice feature of it, they supply a power lead that can be latched or pulsed from a steering wheel control button. I used this to power a garage door opener, since my truck did not have one from the factory. So now I just press and hold my "M" key, and garage door is activated.

I did one other mod to the PAC kit, with that little pocket below the radio which is pretty useless to store anything in. I got some Neutrik audio connectors, which fit perfectly in there. That allowed me to get a second USB, HDMI, CV, and Audio L/R. So I can add just about anything like a dvd player, etc.

With most aftermarket kits, you will lose the center speaker on the dash, so I took advantage of that speaker, and used it to connect to my Ham radio rig. (could be used for CB as well).

This was all installed in a 2015 XLT.

Yes it is. One thing to note, is that the engine must be actually running for the Rear defrost to activate. If you just have the truck in the "Run" position, but not running, that button won't activate, unlike all the other HVAC controls.
