Hey just a general tip, since I see it in this thread a lot: Pros don't build amp racks with mdf. In the passenger compartment, you can get away with it sometimes, because it's dry, but as a rule it's to be avoided for one simple reason: Exposure to water, any water, makes it structurally unsound. Get a little in your screw/bolt holes, and they'll balloon like cardboard left in the rain, and leave your amp mount with all the structural integrity of wet paper. If there's a constant source of humidity or condensation, it can be a problem. The same thing that makes it a great material for a speaker box basically makes it the wrong choice for structures to mount big metal boxes to big metal boxes in a vehicle. Plywood is a far superior choice for when you want to bolt something down or haul something around (like an amp, in a truck). I'd treat any amp mounted to mdf, especially in a vertical config, as suspect. Might go ten years no problem, might crap the bed one day and send your amp bouncing around.

...and yes, I think MDF cabinets in kitchens are a waste of money, too. Wholly recommend plywood, and do check out custom prices before you get hooked by the big-name store prefab stuff...the bigger the name, the more likely it's overpriced junk.

Does the Parrot FOR-CK11 work with 2017 non-sony 8" 7 speaker sync 3 systems? Anyone try it yet? I can't imagine things would change between 2015 and 2017...but then again....

in this picture you have two yellow arrows pointing to the FOR-11CK harness. Finally got my harness today, but the lower connector you are pointing to didn't come with it. Did that piece come with your harness?

Works perfectly for the 2016 non-Sony 8" screen. Literally pop the CD player portion out, unplug it then plug in the 2 connectors of the Parrot. I had it hooked up in about 2 minutes.

I recommend the Stinger Speedwire 9 too. It made running speaker wires a snap. I only ran the front channels as ouputs so I used the wires meant for rear channels in the Speedwire for the return from the amp back to the factory front speaker wires. This meant you run power for the processor, outputs to the amp and outputs to the front speakers in one wire essentially.

This has been a very helpful thread, thanks all for your replies.
I have ordered:
Parrot FOR-11CK harness
Rockford Fosgate R2S-1X12
Rockford RFHLC Adapter
20ft. Stinger Speed wire
All Total: $230

I have this on hand, took these items out of my 2012 Camaro when I sold it:
Rockford Fosgate Prime R250X1
Rockford Fosgate PLC
Memphis Capacitor

New:
4 GA wiring kit

I think in the near future I will be adding the Clarion EQ. I wanedt to add the Clarion in my 2012 Camaro, but there is no Parrot connector or similar for those cars.

I hope the single 12 inch sub will give me the bass I want. I have been running a Audiobahn BAC10 box for years. The Rockford Fosgate Prime R250X1 ran the Audiobahn 10s great for for listening tastes. I have a Rockford Fosgate 200X2 I like it better, but is only capable of producing 100 watts bridged.

Cool Thanks for this thread

Thanks to all who`ve contributed to this thread. I am however a bit confused about how I would go about using the parrot adapter for my planned install. I have the 7 speaker non sony and have a 4 channel amp for all the doors and an amp for my two ten inch subs for under the seat from my previous f150 . I had not planned on using and sound processor or seperate eq other than the fosgate amps I have. Will this adaptor let me use the existing speaker wire powered by my amps ? How would I use line level converters with it ? My previous system sounded great with the focal speakers and sub why a separate audio controller ? Are the front door speaker wires carrying the full audio spectrum ? Your Help is appreciated..
