2015 F150 XLT Screw Audio System Upgrade Log (Sync w/Nav, No Sony)

Great great write up. My head is spinning from all this info
I am also looking to install a similar setup, trying to keep the 4" screen in my '15 XLT & upgrade the speakers & possibly an amp. Question is, do I really need a signal processor ? Will I get by just fine w/ new speakers & an amp ? I wasn't originally gonna do an amp but after reading numerous posts it seems like any aftermarket speaker would be severely degraded w/o one.

You will definately need an equalizer. I ended up removing the LC7i and replacing it with a clarion equalizer that has a built in LOC. The sound just sounded factory but louder. For the money that i had originally spent, i wasnt satisfied. But after installing the equalizer, it brought the system to life.

For the back seat removal....is it just removing the seat bolts at the back? Any other tips/tricks to strip down the back of an screw for sound dampening and sub-woofer/amp install would be greatly appreciated!!!

Common misnomer, just jerking you around. The correct word for reducing the amplitude in waves (such as sound waves) is "damping" or "to damp." The word "dampen" means to make damp or moist, and is concerned with liquid, not sound

Has anyone lately tried to locate one of the Parrot FOR 11CK harness kits? The posted link to Amazon shows them currently unavailable but with an expected shipment date in May.
Also, can the Clarion EQS755 equalizer be utilized without an amp, running off just the head unit alone?

No, that was the nomenclature given in the shopping list at the beginning of this thread. Thanks for your link and also the answer to the equalizer question.
