2015 F-150 Kicker Soundstage Sub Upgrade!
I have had numerous questions about when the 2015 upgrade will become available for the F-150's. The answer to that is early next year. So I decided to check the fitment for a 2009-2014 Kicker Substage Upgrade in a 2015 Supercrew XLT. The box fits in there quite nicely and still retains the storage tray. I know the wiring will work because its just a power wire and a harness that T-taps into an existing speaker wire for the audio signal. The only modifications that i can see that will be needed is the rear bracket on the sub box. There will not be existing holes beneath the carpet for the brackets. What I would do is use several strips of the velcro tape on the sub box and allow it to stick directly to the carpet.
Just throwing this option out there for anyone wanting to upgrade their 2015 sound with a bad ass sub/amp combo. $275 shipped anywhere in the continental US. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...8a788db887.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...fbcf1af87c.jpg |

Yep, just found one tonight. The JL Audio ACP108LG-W3v3 fits in a 2015 F-150 SuperCrew with no modifications, and includes the box, sub, and amp in one.

Not on this site, but Amazon has quite a few reviews all very good.

Yeah, I ordered that JL through Crutchfield. Be careful to not order the NON-amplified version (same model number minus the "A" at the front), which is far more popular and cheaper.
I plan on doing a full install report with sound quality impressions after I install it. There's effectively zero data on custom 2015 F-150 installs so I want to help those who have been searching around like I have. |
that would be great. i dont plan on spending money on something that may sound like crap. :)

Is this the same components as what is in your other thread or just the box,sub and amp? https://www.f150forum.com/f30/boss-m...ed-you-305582/

Id be willing to bet the jl beats the Kicker setul, and Ive got the kicker in my 12 screw! The kickers nice, but could be better!

Oh man this is great. Insurance was not being great about the "aftermarket stereo equipment" in my wrecked '14 so I went and removed everything before they totaled it out, thinking I could resell or give to a good buddy with a 13'. Now I know it will fit in my 15! Thanks Beau!

Will this improve sound quality in stock speakers for the truck? I want to upgrade but don't want to screw with the fake engine noise and sync by messing with speakers.
Thanks |

This is just the sub, and it works independently of everything else. It just needs power and a signal and it was relatively easy to install in my '14. You will probably want to do something with the stock speakers though as this thing has a LOT of power for it's size. In my '14 I ran a 4x50 to some infinity 6x9s and still had to turn the bass down a bit. I would recommend reading the many threads on the sub upgrades. There is a whole package too that includes new speakers and a DSP unit that is available. It is plug and play from what I understand because it's a ford product and wouldn't cause any problems.

2014 vs 2015 kicker Soundstage upgrade
There is a dealership in Mississippi selling the 2014 f150 kicker Soundstage complete package for 399. Does anyone know if it will work in a 2015. I see the sub will work but wondering about all the other electronics.
Thanks |

Then replacing your door speakers, and tweeters. Then adding a mini amp with the parrat harness! This is a Huge improvement over stock, and the Overpriced kicker packages!;) |

It s a improvement, but for less money. You can do Alot Better, by getting a Shallow Mount 10" sub and box and amp, putting them behind your rear seat.

Youll just need to cut the padding on the rear wall.
Did you install yourself or hire the work out? Thanks BP |
Anybody's sub randomly pop? Like I signal was briefly applied?
