I still have control of bass on the radio but I do not have the Sony upgraded system. . I have the bass set at the mid point and adjust my desired bass from the ****. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I should have clarified. My question was mostly for jbarron as he has the Sony system.

Thanks. I have my bass setting on -3 on the touch screen and use the bass ****. I tried not using the bass **** and only using the touch screen but it's a pain in the ***. The bass **** gives you instant bass access. I also tried different bass settings on the the touch screen. And for me -3 has the cleanest bass. Let the new amp do the work. This answer is for Sony sound systems with Sony stock amp.

-3 also keeps the bass out of the door speakers. And in my opinion the highs sound louder.

Even on my 2010 Stock Base HU I have my bass turned down -3. With it at 0 my aftermarket Clarions would sound like dog S***. I agree, let the amp do the work on the sub control.

I know it's not the Sony and not a 2015, but speaks to the crappy processing these Ford headunits do to our signal.

Great point. I hope to be doing something similar to your setup soon. I can't believe how pathetic this stock sub is.

Can anyone confirm if the Supercab and Supercrew for the 15+ trucks have the same amount of space behind the rear seat?
