Default 2014 SCREW Kicker Powerstage Substage PF150C13 review/thoughts

Here goes my first thread. I know that this has been discussed before but I want to share my experience. I bought the Kicker Powerstage kit 2 weeks ago from Hifisoundconnection. First impressions were this defiantly picks up the slacking factory radio and adds a ton more fullness to the factory door speakers and the sub added the much needed bass.

Install was super simple and the instructions take you easily step by step. It took me 2.5 hrs taking my sweet time. I took it easy on the sub for the first week and this last week have noticed it is now hitting harder.

Depending on the music it does have quite a bit of power for a low draw 200w amp. I listen to classic rock so depending on the song I get plenty of bass and others not so much. Pop, Rap, R&B hit plenty hard for how basic and easy this system was to install. All Cd's played sound great. I am impressed especially with the ease of install.

I previously ordered a custom made sub box, Alpine amp, and Type R shallow mount and put a deposit on it all. The items were on back order from the local supplier that I went through and it took too long so I jumped the gun and bought the kicker kit. I am now finding out that I can't get the deposit back on the box and alpine stuff. so I am considering putting the kicker up for sale. Thoughts?

Sub with pre cut weathertech. It didn't sound as good sitting on the mat so I cut it

32 bit DSP amp for door speakers under drivers side dash. Everything plugged right in.

Sorry to hear about your local supplier. Can you pay a restocking fee to them?

Has the local supplier built the box yet? If you paid with a credit/debit card for the deposit, dispute the charges. They can sell the equipment to someone else. You havent received anything from them

I have thought about going that route the only thing that has stopped me is that its a "hook up" through my cousin. I have wondered what I could get out of the kicker. I have only seen one on the classifieds here. eBay only has only new at 1245. I bought mine under retail so I would need about 900 out of it.

I would totally jump on that Kicker system if I could find one for about $500. If I'm going to spend more than that, I'll buy a custom-fit big box and high-end shallow sub to use with my old amps.

If you are looking for just the substage (sub/amp/box) you could probably find one as they are $699. But the powerstage with the DSP amp for the door speakers is near impossible to find under $1245 new, and used are rare. I looked for over a month while waiting for this supplier and no luck.

I was talking about the whole system, though I would pay $150 for the wiring harness alone.

Substage is $500, complete kit is $922, pre-coupon code, from one of regularly mentioned ford dealers on here. As to thoughts, thoughts on what? I'm still trying to figure out if this regular 'here's my install' post, or if it is a misplaced for sale thread.
