I really did not want to drill holes in the floor to bolt it down.
Do you think something like this could be used to secure the sub to at least the carpet?

Also can you explain a little more about what you had to do to the power cable? Was it the one from the battery or a different one?

The power cable that runs to the front from the sub box and plugs into the cable that was ran to the battery was not long enough the way I ran it. I just added about a foot so it would plug in. I'm not sure how the floor mat hold downs would attach to the box but I may look into them.

The kit beau sells looks like it has all 6x9 speakers. ? I can make my own adapter out of mdf, but is there any way to get the 6x9 to sit in the hole for a 6.5" speaker for the rear doors?

To hold the sub in place, I would try those metal pointy speaker feet they make for floor speakers. They'll "bite" into the carpet.

The kit should have 6x8 speakers. That is what all 4 speakers are from the factory 2011-2014.

Just finished installing this system in my 2015. I can confirm it works great and is very easy to do. The factory speakers sound much better with the Kicker amp behind them.

Do you have any pictures of how you mounted the amp and sub?

I haven't mounted the sub yet, for now it is just resting there but it hasn't moved. I may bolt it to the lid of the Power Inverter box for a little insurance.

As for mounting the amp, I took a little different route. I stashed the amp behind the glove box. There is a perfectly sized space back there for the amp to snugly slide in. This way I had plenty of slack in my wiring harnesses and didn't have to beat my knuckles up mounting the bracket (which I removed completely). See pics:

Empty space behind the glove box.

Right before I connected the harness and slid the amp the rest of the way back in there. Just be careful, there are a lot of wires back there.

Well, I just ordered one, evidently they are $399 now. How are the factory speakers holding up for those of you that have this in your 2015.
