JL audio

I put two pairs of Infinity Kappa 682.11cf Coaxial Speakers in my 2013 King Ranch a few weeks back and couldn't be happier; night and day difference compared to the "premium" Sony speakers. I'm actually happy with the sound system now. I am, however, contemplating my sub-woofer options. :D

need better sound

I just purchased a 2012 F150 Lariat SuperCrew, without nav, but unfortunately with the Sony upgraded audio system. I will be removing the complete audio system from my previous vehicle containing an Alpine INA 910bt, Alpine pxa-701, MB Quart QSD 6.5" two way components in the front, Eclipse 6.5 inch coaxial in the rear. I will use a Stinger 12 farad capacitor, Phoenix Gold DD5, Memphis 16-mch1300 5 channel amp, Memphis 16-mca 3004 4 channel amp, and a DD 1508 sub.

I plan on running everything active. So, the front left and right channels from the 5 channel will power the left and right tweeters in the a-pillars the rear channels of the five channel will power the mid in the front doors. The front channels of the 4 channel will be bridged to the center channel in the dash and the rear channels of the 4 channel will power the rear doors. Obviously the sub Channel will power the sub from the 5 Channel. I also think that I have a new set of Boston 3.5" laying around, that I will use one as the new center speaker in the dash.

I ordered the dash kit and the radio wiring harnesses today, and should have them Friday. I anticipate putting the amplifiers low behind the back seat on the rear wall, with the DD5, and 701 above the 4 channel on the passenger side, and the cap above the 5 channel on the drivers side. I plan on running 0awg from the battery to the cap, and from the cap, 4awg to the amps. I'm hoping to be able to tap into the factory wiring after bypassing the factory amp, so that I do not have to run individual speaker wires to each speaker location. I'm hoping to have the Audio install done within the month with the exception of the subwoofer enclosure build. But the factory audio is horrendous and i cannot stand it. I am new to the Ford family and have absolutely no idea how these trucks are put together or where the wires are run. If anybody has any advice for me please let me know.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate the reply. Also, there may be a change to the equipment that I install. Possibly doing 3, 4 channel Kenwood KAC - m3004 amplifiers and bridging

Thanks for the info, I appreciate the reply. Also will be adding two audio control matrix 6 channel line drivers, to increase input sensitivity to two amplifiers. Is there a way to keep the sync wired in to the speakers, so I can still use it for the phone?
