Not being a smart *** but how do you know that it won't work? I'm guessing someone tried it on the OP's model radio? When I bought mine for my 2011, it wasn't listed as compatible either but it works fine.

The connectors are different on the new radios. It won't physically plug in

Nothing that is plug and play. You'll have to tap or cut the factory speaker wires
