Default It works!!

Whoo hoo!!! It works. Got the connectors installed tonight. I ended up only using 13 wires total on the female harness. Very simple once you get all the parts in place.

My new Alpine MRX-V70 sure woke up them type R's I put in the front doors a couple of weeks ago.

That is great news and if I wasn't so sick I'd jump for joy with you. But this flu or what ever the hell I got is still kicking my ***.

Nice!!! Time for me to start looking for an amp. You running through any kind of processor or coming straight off the stereo?

That doesn't sound good. Show that flu who's boss. You've got harnesses to make and amps to install. Hope you get over it quickly and I hope it stays on the east side of the Bonnet Carre. I don't need it over here. Got a turnaround coming up in a couple weeks and I can't miss out on all that overtime.

I am just using speaker level inputs. So far no popping, hissing or any other unwanted noises. I ran two runs of that Instal Bay 9 wire conductor. Just using factory speaker wires from head unit out. May not be the best, but seems to work well enough for me. In fact I am thinking about buying a set of Alpine type R components for the front, move the coax R's to the rear and calling it good. Not even add the sub.

This is great news! I'm in for a harness if all continues to go well. I'm fed up with my 13's oem stereo.

Sounds good. I'm starting to second guess running the Alpine pxa-h800 or a 3sixty.3 from Rockford. I don't like the flat EQ curve of the factory stereo or the bass roll off above volume 20, but I'm not sure that I want to spend $600-900 on a processor.

Try using audiocontrol lc7i it's not to expensive and u can use the accubass to bring the bass back in.

I'm no pro by any means, but I really dont notice the bass roll off. I think its more the fact there is no power there. After you install a decent amp and speakers I don't think its an issue. I could be wrong though.

your correct I have the lc7i and my factory radio bass drops off after 25 so I tuned my system using factory radio at 25 I don't even use the accubass the lc7i sends 8 volt signal my gains on my amps are turned all the way down

Thanks, I'll look into it and weigh my options. Price looks a lot better at $180.
