Probably for powering the parrot accessory that the harness is designed for. You have to remember we are using this harness for something other than its intended use

If my parrot harness fuse is blown, would it be safe to replace it with a bigger fuse? I see most forum members cut the harness before the fuse and don't even use one. This is how my harness is currently wired behind the dash. The fuse from the harness is inside of the clear plastic fuse holder near the top center of the picture.

Generally speaking, its almost never OK to replace a blown fuse with a bigger one

They did, for the aftermarket Bluetooth, which we are not using.

I have pulled my amp out. I used the parrot harness and have everything hooked up correctly. I was having a horrible time picking up radio stations. The static made it impossible to listen to. With the amp and wiring removed the static is still there just not as bad. When I get my oil changed I am going to have ford check it out. Anyone else have this problem?

I would put in the same size the amp calls for, and it should be fine.

I was looking at your picture. Is wiring the blue turn on wire from the amp to the white wire on the harness correct?

No, the blue wire from the amp is spliced with a long white wire to an add-a-fuse, fuse #38 on the passenger side kick panel.

OK. Sounds good. Have you figured out why you blew your fuse?

Not yet, I haven't made time to take apart the dash again. I don't even know if the fuse on he harness is blown that's just my initial guess. I'm riding around with no audio right now.
