I've had mine for about a year and a half now. Once tuned, it sounds great! It nicely rounds out the low end.

Default Wiring

I've been reading this thread. Couple of questions, Where are the wires you guys spliced into located. I am putting the 2012 A pillars Sony tweeters in my 2011 XLT. So they are not factory prewired. I swore i saw a post that listed the wire colors and a picture of their location and how they were spliced in. But dam can't find it in the search. I am also at the same time installing Infinity 6x8's in the doors

The tweeters are just tapped into the same wires as the door speakers

I have the same tweeters in my truck, only I mounted behind the stock tweeter grill! Looks Cleaner IMO, but soo much Clearer highs....

Matched with my infinity reference x 5x7's in Screw doors, and Kicker 10" under rear p.s. Seat!

I just installed these tonight.(JL ZR100-CT) Fairly easy install just filed out the hole so that the tweeter went in tight.they won't come loose...installed the new bass blockers that came with tweeters as well.

So how do the JL ZR100-CT's sound? Are you stock on the rest?

I have a 2013 with the MFT Sony system. I have replaced all my door speakers with Infinity 6832CF and also have put poly fill in the sub box. After seeing this thread id like to upgrade my tweeters. Should I keep with the Infinitys? What's the model number needed?

Mike D....I have nothing left stock now...I have an Advent HU that powers the JL tweeters and JL door speakers...it's a huge improvement over the stock junk from ford...I also have a 10' sub being powered by a mono amp. All my my stuff is JL audio except my sub box which is a Fox Box.. I would say any aftermarket set up will definately sound better than the ford stock stuff

I have JLs too, (C5s up front), with a Pioneer 10" sub / PowerBass amp, and Kenwood Excelons. I have an XLT that came with basic sound (non-sony). It was the worst stock systems I think I've ever heard. Sounds great now though.

Now that I've drove my truck some with the new tweeters I can really tell a difference. The mids and highs are much clearer and louder as well as hearing sounds that weren't capable with the stock stuff..no buyers remorse here. Lol
