Hi, I installed an aftermarket head unit (pumpking) which is awesome but I can't figured out how connect steering wheel controls to the unit, bought an aswc-1 adapter think is wired correct but doesn't work.
Any Ideas?

Do you have the correct factory wire hooked up?

 

yes and is detected in wire 7 and VALOR as a head unit

 

You may have to use the resistor. I would call them. They can tell you over the phone. I know on a Kenwood I had it would recognize it as JVC so I needed to use the resistor

 

Solved in my f-150 2012 after auto detect Had to press phone button on steering wheel because sync uses bluetooth. and done it works.
