Default 2010 XLT wiring help for amp

on my screw, where can I find a remote wire for the amp to turn off and on? I plan on putting the amp behind the passenger seat in the back. Also, how do I lean that backseat forward? Is there a release?

Assuming you have stock head unit, I used a Bussman Add-A-Fuse. I can't remember if it's ATM or ATC for my remote wire.

Re: Backseat. Search the site for instructions regarding removing the rear seat of a 04 thru 08 truck. It is very similar....

I assume you ran the wire from the front box under the hood?

I forgot about that. Did you by chance wire it into an accessory delay so that the AMP stays on when you turn the key off? No worries if you didn't. I will go there and find a place. Thank you.

In the 04-08, there is a accessory delayed fuse for the radio, I'd think there would still be one for the 09+

There is a solid Blue wire in the passenger side kick panel (remove both fuse and kick trim to locate). It will be in the large bundle. This is acc. power (will remain hot for 10 minutes.). If in doubt, it is real simply to poke and check with a meter.

Unless you have the base audio system (vs. Premium 6-CD or Nav), your radio powers up based off the Can-bus communication. There is no acc power to the radio (not even dummy wired). I have the Prem 6-CD system.

I soldered my remote wire in the pass. kick area. Make sure you fuse it. I put the fuse right behind the fuse box panel.

There is a release for the backseat - there are several threads on multiple sites that have pictures and detail on how it is done. Fold bottom seat up. Grab a 1/2 closed end wrench and pull up the pin which is on latch at top behind seat.

no need to remove the seat in the 09+, you can fold the rear down, if you look in my install thread there is a link to some directions.
