The 4 gauge amp kit is the amp wiring that I posted earlier. An OFC kit is probably a good idea now that we know you are going to be using the full 1000w. Ill link you to one when I get home and Im not on my phone

Interconnect is just a fancy way of saying RCA cable

Volume control is a **** they were trying to sell you so you can turn the sub amp up and down remotely. Nice to have but not necessary and amp-specific. You would probwbly jave a hard time finding one for that xtant amp, although MTX might be able to help you out

Do you think that I will need a Capacitor to go along with the system?

Well the subs shipped today.. Still waiting on an email about my sub box being shipped but I am really ready for it all to get here..

All I need to do now is figure out the whole Amp placement and what have you.

Another question I thought of. would a breaker be good to have close to the amp? that way if I need to work on something just pop the breaker.

I had one from the last truck (though I currently cant find it).

No breaker near the amp. You will have a fuse under the hood. Just pull the fuse if you need to cut power

Alright I will keep you posted as when everything shows up.

I am really excited to do the measuring for the amp setup on the rear wall.

Any pointers in how to set it up? I've seen where a lot of guys mount it to a 1/2 inch board but I am not sure how they then mount it to the wall of the truck. Something about the ribs have more steel to mount to??

also does anyone have any tricks for removing dash and other misc. parts in order to hide all wiring?

I would mount a carpet covered piece of 1/2 inch plywood or MDF low on the back wall. Im going to buy a riv-nut tool but you could also use self-tapping sheet metal screws. Either way, pick spots that are double-walled and make sure you only go through the first layer or youll poke a hole out the back of the cab

Yes, You are going to need some way of getting signal to your amp. They have cheap ones for 15 or 20 bucks, but the best one to use is the audiocontrol lc2i. It has a bass restoration circuit to help with the bass rolloff at higher volumes. Im not familiar enough with the sony system to tell you whereto get your signal from

I found one used off Amazon from a reputable guy for $60.

Hopefully it will get here soon

I am ready to have this system in.

Although I have not heard anything about my sub box from FoxBox. I am about to call them to see when it is going to ship.
