Default 2009+ f150: Please post pictures of where your amp is mounted

Hello,

So I just purchased an AudiControl LC6i and an Alpine MRP-F300 to run with 4 JL TR570-cxi. I was wondering where you all mounted your amps. Hoping to see a picture! From what I remember, most of you mount it right under the back windshield, behind the back seats.

Also would like to know how you guys ran the wires. Under the carpet?

BTW truck is a '12 SCAB

Thanks!

2010 screw. I took my amp power cord and ran it through a grommet on the passenger side. Then you can run the power wire, remote wire and RCA cable down the passenger side

thanks Biff! I see that most people use a board and install it there under the back windshield. Do you have to drill holes in there to mount that? Or do you just use existing holes. I would rather not drill into the truck...

also I assume your run your set up as such: HU->amp->speakers. I can't seem to visualize how you get from the amp to each of the 4 speakers. Thanks again..I'm pretty new to this type of audio installs.

I put my amp behind the seat but didnt use a board (its a small 400watt jl amp, i just screwed it into the padded stuff behind the seat) and just ran the speaker wire around the sides and under the kick plates then into the doors. Did the same for the rca cables and power wire also! Hardest part for me was getting the power wire through the firewall down into the cab.

2011 Screw. Used two Treo 80.4's for the front and rear doors and a 2000.1 for a ported box with 2 12's under the rear seat.

Do you have a picture of amp mount?

I swear I've read so much stuff about the lc6i that my head hurts lol. I hope this set up works. I know blackknight installed it with the METRA and had a popping noise when he turns it on and off. Hope to avoid that.

Do I have to install a METRA or a PAC harness to make this work and retain stock functions? (SYNC)

Do you or anyone else know if this set up will work well?

Thanks!

Forgot to mention that I removed the padded piece off of the back wall, cut off the top portion along with the pieces that covered the seat belt and the sliding window motor. added a piece of 1/2 inch MDF and recovered it. Then I hung a piece of carpet padding on the back wall before putting on the piece with the MDF in it.

There is a seat lift from LMI installed and I can still fold everything up and down, but its REALLY close in a couple of spots. The worst spot is where it hits the battery in one spot, it kind of put a 1/8th inch dent in the corner of my battery.
