Default 2007 Factory Wiring Diagram Request

Good day all,

I am looking for some help on identifying the wires on one of the plugs on the factory wiring.

I am getting ready to install a new head unit and the smaller 16-pin plug has me confused. The wire harness adapter kits that I have found from Metra show that I need the 70-5520 for the main plug and then the 70-5520AUX for the secondary 16-pin plug.

Here is where my confusion is coming into play. The 70-5520AUX plug from Metra only has the wires for the RCA input for the AUX input on the dash. What are all of the other wires on the factory harness for? The Metra kit does not utilize these.

Are they really not needed?

I am also including the upc from the side of the radio. Don't know if it would help or not.

Anyone out there have any ideas? I am going to start building the custom sub box so I have a little time before I start on the head unit.

Thanks in advance.

I finally finished the install over the Labor day weekend. Installed Head unit (GPS/DVD/etc), Sub-woofer with custom enclosure, Mono Amplifier and Back up camera

Here are some of the Pic's.

Kenwood DNX5140 Head Unit

Bypass Switches installed -
The left one bypasses the ground for the DVD playback.
The right one allows the back up camera to work when reverse is not engaged

Picture of the custom enclosure for the 12" Cerwin Vega V-Max 12.2 powered by a Kenwood KAC-8140D mounted under rear seat.

Should be what you are looking for, better late then never. this should be good up to 2008.

You can also usually find the information on the back of the Metra harness packaging.

Hi, I’m in the same boat with my 2004. Got the Metra kit and encountered the extra 16 pin harness. So what did you find out? Can the 16-pin harness be ignored? What did you do?
