Default 2016 Factory sub connector woes

I picked u a the Kicker Hideaway 10 with high hopes of a clean install. I have a 2016 Super Cab XLT with the basic radio package. Unfortunately, I cant get signal out of the factory plug and it's driving me nuts. I've double checked my pinout and after making the change with forscan I get power to the sub but I'm not getting signal. I tried all the basic settings in the ACM (non asbuilt) and that's what kicked on the power. I tried changing the values for 727-01-01 and 727-01-02 to match what I have found online.
Someone mentioned they could not get theirs to work and it's useless to try on the models that did not include Satellite Radio.

Does anyone have settings that are known to work on this same model truck. Is there truth to the non-Satellite Radio versions not being compatible?

Unless I am misunderstanding your problem, you need to get the signal for the Kicker subwoofer by tapping into the existing speakers in either the front door, or the rear door. This is covered in the Kicker install manual. I just installed my kicker Sub (testing it under the front passenger seat) and ran temporary power to the battery for +12Volts and tapped into the front door speaker wires under the front door gutter. My OEM radio (2016 F150 Lariat SuperCrew with Sony System) activated the Kicker sub without any issues.

Do you have the OEM radio and speakers in your truck? My understanding is that there is a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) in the Ford OEM radios that the Kicker sub uses to activate. If you replace the Ford OEM radio systems (either the Sony System or Non Sony System) with an aftermarket radio you need to install a DSP in order for the aftermarket radio to send out the correct signals to your replacement AMP or Sub to "turn on" or "turn off."

It appears you have the ForScan issue well in hand, and you've gotten +12V power to the Kicker unit. All that remains is the signal you need to activate the unit. If you're not getting signals from the OEM radio (Because you don't have the Satellite option?) I am out of ideas.

Hope this helps.

flyguy,
From everything I’ve read the connector behind the seat should be carrying power, remote, and audio from the factory head unit. I’m unable to get audio from this connector but everything else works. I’m not for sure what a DSP is and why it would be required for this aftermarket sub install. Everything else in my truck is factory equipment.
I think I’m going to have to tap into the door speaker for audio signal.

Can you post a picture of how you have your connector wired?

I make plug and play harnesses for this purpose if interested.

From what I've read on here, wires 6 & 7 are the signal wires in the WPT-1212 connector.

What wires are you trying to use for signal on the connector?

Do you guys happen to know if the signal coming out of the factory sub harness is considered hi or low?

I believe i read that it is also a summed signal left and right?

It is a mono low frequency signal.

I'm using it in my system and it works great, I'm also using the turn on wire for my amp as well.
