I have a 2003 Crew Cab with the 6 CD changer radio. The radio has an AUX button on the front but I cannot find where the AUX jack is on the radio. I am trying to connect a Sirius Sat receiver directly to the radio.

If it is like my 07 radio, the 'AUX' switches between the 3 satelites, MP-3, CD, FM 1 & 2 and AM. The AUX input is on the dash in the "tray" above the radio. If yours is not there then possilby yours is just that, an AUX button and that's all. I thought this pic would help but the sun is shining to much.

ya its the same radio in the trucks but not all came with the option for the aux like i didnt have the option i had to go get the cord from ford and install it myself

have you found it yet?? From what I remember you can get an adapter and plug it into the back of the radio for the AUX.

i know this forum hasnt been posted on in a while, but i figured i would use this one instead of starting a new one with the same question.

I bought a FM adapter for my truck last year, it works good, but i would like to get rid of the random static it gets sometimes. So i have been looking into an AUX adapter. I looked in my "tray" above the radio like WFIN said, but there isnt anything there.

I was wondering if anyone found anything similar for cheaper or that is easier to install. I dont feel like taking my baby to a car shop and having people mess with the harness lol.

My truck didn't have the plug either, but for around $100, there are adapters available from Peripheral, PAC, Soundgate and others that is plug and play.

the Peripheral systems are kick ***, I put one in my girlfriends 06 focus, and it took me longer to get the dash appart then it dod to hook everythign up and run the wires.

it even lets you use the stearing wheel controlls, and everything looks nice and stock.

The adapter costs 54 dollars, for not much more then this you can get a great head unit with all of this stuff built in Ipod controls, USB ports, etc, etc. I have looked at your choices at Crutchfield and head units with CD changer control, and an auxiliary input start at 49.95, add a USB port and they start out at 149.95. Believe me you want a USB port. You can plug in portable hard drives, thumb drives, etc. I have a number of 2 to 4 gig thumb drives which I load with my music and plug those into the USB hub I have installed. I have only used the CD drive on my head unit to make sure it worked when I installed it, it has not been used since.
P.S. most of these units have adapters to tie the radio into the steering wheel controls if you have them.
