Default Can I run this without doing big 3

Have a jbl gto- 5355 running my front comps and rear fill. Also 2 jbl 8 inch woofers. H660 for clean signal etc. I want to add a hi fonics hfi1000d to power 2 re scx v2s. Take out my 8 inchers for the res. So should I be ok on pulling the amps from stock electrical? Also what is easiest way to add on other amp? Do I have to run another power wire from battery? Etc. thanks guys.

You can use a power block to split the power providing the main wire is heavy enough to handle both amps.

I have soundquest 4 gauge wiring kit. Should I upgrade? You think it will dim my lights?

4 gauge should be ok. Not sure about the lights. If they do then it will be time for the big 3 or at least a better battery

Nice, after looking not sure if I can fit 2 10 re audios under back seat. That mounting depth at 5.50 is close. Going to have to look to see what others are running on a 1000 watt. Don't want to lift seat. Thank you for help

Im running 2 10" soundqubed hds210 (6.25" mounting depth, 600RMS) in a fox acoustics box and it slams! Not sure if you want to look in to those subs but I definitely recommend them.

Would definitely not run anything more than 1,000 watts on a cheap 4 ga kit like that. Your JBL GTO amp is fused alone at 80 amps. The Hifonics 1000w is also fused at 80a.

For not a lot of money, you could run this VERY high quality 1/0 OFC amp kit...

Also, DroppinHz has Big 3 kits available aswell.

You're looking at about $200 vs possibly burning your truck down. Want to learn a bit more info on ampacity of power cables in a 12v application?

Please, please do not run both of those amps off a single run of 4ga. You will most definitely cause damage to the truck, if not cause the wire to melt the jacket and catch the truck on fire.

I wish I could find the video, but Sean, the owner of EMF Audio, recently made a video with a FLIR thermal camera showing exactly how important it is to properly size your wiring for the load. He had wire temperatures well over 150*F purely from the load alone.

Great info! I stand corrected.

Dang, how did you fit them? Did you have to raise seats? Maybe my measuring is off lol. I thought 5.50 depth mount was pushing it. Your at 6.25. Hell I will check those out and fox box as well.
