looks like a decent starter setup for $300. Power Acoustik isn't known to be a very "quality" brand but for that price I'd go for it. If you find you aren't happy with it or have an urge to get louder I'd build a better box for it. Most people don't realize how important the box is to the sound.

Yeah I'm debating on building my own box and throwing 2 pioneer subs in there instead

It depends on how high end you want to go. That setup would be more than enough for 95% of people

Yeah I may go the route of building my own box thats ¾ mdf and throw 2 pioneers in that instead. I just wasn't too sure about power acoustic and all
