Also those skar subs are very stiff and take more hours to break in. My 8"s took about 3 weeks of daily commuting to get to sounding good

There is and nothing was cut. The amp panel uses the factory seat mount bolts to hold down. It could be cleaner by cutting and reversing back more into that wall but not nesecary for this.

Looks fantastic! I am about to purchase the same subs and build a box under the seat as well. Do you have any pictures from fabrication, sizes or anything of the like? I have a supercrew so it may differ slightly, but looks like I can do a wedge with a step in the rear. 52" wide, 8-3/4" tall in the front and 5-3/4" tall in the rear, 13" deep. Gives me just under 2 cuft using 1/2" mdf. Does this sound about right?

Sounds about right but I would suggest 3/4" if you can get it. Those subs move a lot of air. Also the seat release handles will hit the top of your box and prevent the seat from going completely down at the dimensions you posted. You can notch the areas in a rectangle shape and from inside the box put some half inch mdf to seal the rectangle cut out back up. Cover with carpet and it's done.

Perfect, thank you for that photo. I can do 3/4" no problem, but was worried about actually fitting the subs in the front. The magnets look small enough that they should clear though.

Btw the box in the pic I posted is for 2 down fire 8" subs. The dimensions of that box is 32" wide, 13" deep, 9" tall on the front and 5.75" tall on the back of the slope. The subs have a distance of 1.5" from the floor so that the cones have room enough not to hit the floor. Down fire is the way to go to keep them protected and does seem to have a little more output. The trade off is you have to have a super shallow sub with a depth of 4 to 4.25" so the magnet doesn't hit the top of the sloping panel. But the box the OP made is awesome and should really sound good. I have small kids and they would put a foot through the cones in no time. Grills would help protect them as well.
