You saw that too? They used speaker inputs. I actually played with the hi/lo input switch some and when I change it to Hi, the sub output went way down. Going to play with is a little more, because at the same time I tried the phase at 0. Going to try changing input to hi and leave phase at 180 and see what happens. Ultimately things will get dialed in once the front and rears are installed on Sunday.

Just ran out and gave it another quick tweak. Changed the input to Hi left phase at 180, and the crossover at approximately 90hz as well as made some changes on the HU settings. Now the bass is hitting good and tight with no rumble or distortion and there is a good blend between the sub and the stock speaker mid bass. Going to leave it alone now until the new speakers are installed

I had the Polk DB's installed today. Have not had too much time to play but my initial impression is that it sounds WAY better now. Interestingly enough I had to change the phase to 0 and bring the level up on the hideaway to get a smooth blend with them. I still need to do some more tweaking as the Polks break in, but the muddy mid's and hi's are gone. Now it is nice and clean. Overall volume is about the same as with the factory speakers so it appears the HU can adequately drive them without an add on amp. I will post pics of all the settings once I get it all tweaked. Overall I think this was a great upgrade for about $600. That is significantly less than the Kicker systems available from the dealer and I suspect comparable in sound, and better than the factory Sony System.
