Default 10W3V3-4 & JX10001D enclosure opinions

I just picked up a used JL 10W3V3-4 & JX1000D for $300 CAD (about $225 USD) and I'm looking for opinions on an enclosure suitable for use in my 2013 supercab.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

specs call for 0.625ft3 sealed, 1.125ft3 ported. the almost 6" mounting depth may give you some problems with an enclosure, depending on what you want it to look like and what space you are willing to give up for it.

At this point I'm torn between buying and building my own. I'm up in Canada so getting a Fox Box up here is a bit more expensive than it is for you guys south of the border.

If somebody is willing to give up the measurements from theirs I'd be greatly in their debt.

I run the Fox dual 10" in my Truck and I love it. I just got some new Sundowns in last night to replace my 20 year old Rockford Fosgate HX2's actually.

Which model did you go with? How are you liking them and How do they compare to what you were using before?

Amazing for the price IMO. Also running a 12 500rms in my Mustang and it drums like crazy. I still have to get the bugs worked out with my Truck sub system...new amp is more powerful but doesn't sound as good as 20 year old old amp.

Again if there is anybody out there who has the single 10" enclosure that is willing to share the dimensions with me I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you. How much power are you running to them and how do they sound in the foxbox? I’m very close to pulling the trigger on these and the foxbox and trying to get as much input as I can. I was getting close to buying the new SSA demons but the price difference and also not having any reviews out on them has kept me away for the time being. Concerns I have for the sundowns are if they are truly qualify built as I’ve seen lots of videos and read posts of the subs failing. Most likely from either user error or abuse but would like to buy something that has some longevity wen used correctly. I almost bought the sd3’s in the past and glad I didn’t as there seems to be a large amount of users with issues
