Default 07 aftermarket head, amp and sub

Hey guys,

New to the site and just looking to get a bit of info to help me decide if I'll do an installation for my buddy.
I've yet to install anything in a Ford and I'm wondering if there are any little gems of info I should know about.

1-Will an aftermarket head with applicable harness just plug and play, or do I need to flash the computer with any codes?

2-I'm assuming there are units which integrate steering wheel controls?

3-Actually thats about it.. Mostly just concerned about the compatibility of an aftermarket head with stock components.

Any tips are more than welcome, thanks for the knowledge guys!

Yes plug in play with the correct dash kit and wiring harness. There are 3 different SWC adapters. PAC, Axxess and Maestro.
