Jesus! No one said this **** was going to be cheap, but it was way more than I anticipated. $4,000 for the frame work and so far we're at $7500 for the panels and prep, no paint or wrap.

The quality of fiberwerx sucks, I went with them because I had no other sources for 17+ raptor panels, and I had heard nothing but good things. But we're looking at over 100 hours to make them smooth and fit right. I'm quickly learning why only 2-3 people on the planet have ever attempted this.

There's a guy on instagram "mg_mike_" that transformed an FX4 to the 2017 raptor body. Maybe reach out to him for some advice if you need any.

Good luck with the build. I wish I had the time/money to do the same.

Dont get me wrong, I love this build and will be here until its done... but you are fitting 17 body panels to a 09 truck that was totaled with a bent frame... I'm surprised you expected anything to fit without an incredible amount of work. I mean, I knew from page one this was headed to 5 figures, and assumed you did too. Seriously though, I love the project, and wish you nothing but success.

Say what? More than half the cost of the project is fitting the panels that were made to fit 09-14 trucks....

Coming along. As you can see, the quality and fitment of the Fiberwerx panels is absolutely horrible. I wish there was another route to take.

Now the question is, what color to wrap it? I have brown platinum interior, and the jambs and such will still be silver. Paint is going to be an impossibility... so Im thinking blue? orange?

I really like the satin charcoal wraps that I've seen. But I prefer the colors that are not as loud, like blue and orange.

But I do like the sunset metallic color that comes from the factory.
