Way out in the central part of the state. I work at an active Gold Mine as an Electrician. So far out Vegas is 4 hours, Reno 3.5. and about 2.5 to the nearest Super Wally world.

I started out my professional life as a USAF Civil engineer... after that Civil Designer for a private sector engineering firm...

Now I am a Regulatory Analyst for the #1 producer of natural gas in the United States... Fancy name for a paper work handler, lol.

I live in Jackson, TN and work for the state. I think the term most use for my job is "Revenuer" but I don't do much moonshine chasing these days.

Very real job. Many industrial places are switching from Preventive Maintenace, which is time/interval based to Predictive Maintenance.

The off shore drilling company I work for is in the process of making the switch. I have been very involved in this as I am the Chief Electronics tech.

Our aircraft use vibration analysis and we have to download a data card after every flight for maintenance to send off for review. If the engineers see something out of the ordinary they will call back to have it inspected. Plus we have interval preventive maintenance...
