What does everyone do for a living? Where do you live?

I live in Cut Off, LA 70 miles south of New Orleans. I am an R&D manager for a lifting and mooring equipment manufacturer. Basically we make really large shackles. We plan on making the largest shackle ever (2250 MT) pretty soon. I'll post pics when that comes. Here is some media that might give you a better idea of what I do:
Youtube video: Breaking a 3-5/8" EEIPS wire rope socket assembly (1.4 million lbs breaking load) I bet no-one here on the forum could break this tow rope!!!
Image of a 400T Anchor Shackle and a 300T Super Shackle. (Both are real. each weighs about 1000 lbs).

I live in Atlantic Beach, in north Florida. I'm retired from various branches of the military 6 years ago and now work as a contractor at Mayport Naval Station. It's all good.

Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic from a long line of Ford owners... well except my brother. He's now kinda a Chevey guy by necessity.. he's a mechanic at a Chevy dealership. He was a Ford guy but knew where the money was at if he was going to be an automotive mechanic!
