I'm an analyst for a major gov't contractor in Virginia. I just ordered a 2016 Lariat Supercab; although it will be my third f150, it will be my first brand new truck.

I live in NYC area. Been here for 6 years, originally from western PA. I own a 2013 FX4 Supercab (black). You may think it's hard to have in the city but people get out of my way!

Retired from the business world in DFW area? Now reside in SE Oklahoma hills and run a small horse ranch. My wife is ready for me to retire from that and do more traveling. LOL

Default Intro...

I'm a retired truck driver of 25 years on the road, and I guess I'm definitely a Ford man. My first car was my Mom's '69 Ford Ranch Wagon, and my first NEW car was a '78 Ford Fiesta. After it I bought a new '79 F150 4X4 Custom. Silver, 300 CI 6 cylinder, NP 435 Transfer case with the T10 BW Rock Crusher tranny. That girl could pull... Only got it stuck once, in a tree stump hole where my right front dropped into it. The hood was at my kneecap, so I wasn't able to get out from there. A friend had to give a little tug, and she finally came out.

After moving to Texas I bought a '78 F150 2WD and had it for more then a few years before it finally died. My current F150 is a 2001 SCrew Lariat 2WD that I am using to pull our brand new travel trailer. I just got onto this sight, and I'm going to have a bunch of questions and will do a lot of research here, for sure....

Maintenance supervisor for a paper packaging company in Upstate ( not NYC I'm 5 hours away) New York. Actually the city I live in is home to the aluminum plant that Ford gets the raw stock for the F150 !

Thinking Winston-Salem maybe. Not real sure yet. I'm going to be in northern Virginia for a few days in May, and thought I might take the time to drive down and see what's going on for a few more before flying back.

It's all kind of a random thing, and moving from one end of the continent to the other without a whole lot of friends etc on the receiving end is a little like sticking your hand down an open hole hoping things work out for the best, lol.
