Hi everyone,
Been a member for a couple months now. Love the info on this site. Here's my new baby. Bought the truck new in December. 2013 F150 Crew Cab XLT 4x4. Ruby Red Metallic, 5.0L, bucket seats, chrome package.
Mods:
ARE Z series Cap
Ford factory bugshield
Ford wheel liners
bedliner
weathertech floor liners
added factory PTM OEM fender flares
Ford mudflaps
replaced black mirror skull caps with OEM chrome ones
I want to do something with the rims and tires, but I can't make up my mind if I want to go to 20's or stay with 18's. So, in the meantime, I'm just going to keep it stock.
If anyone has any questions about installing the OEM fender flares, feel free to ask. I came up with a pretty good way to avoid drilling all those holes in the side of the vehicle. I attached automotive 3M double sided tape to the black clips. I just cut off the point of the clip that goes in the hole and placed the tape over it instead (see last pic). It worked pretty good and the flares stuck to the side pretty tight. Only had to drill the few holes in the wheel well edge for the push pin bolts and then the two in the front bumper for the bolts on the front fenders.
See you on the road!
