Hello everyone. new to this site today. I have a 2011 F-150 lariat twin turbo. The check engine light went on last winter and my mechanic put it on the diagnostic test and told me the turbos were bad. He cleaned them out and all was well for awhile The check engine is back on and the truck is slow to accelerate and makes a turbo poof sound when it finally goes. I took it to the dealer and they diagnosed it as a timing chain issue and told me it would cost around $2600.00 to fix. Having a dilemna - who is right - my mechanic about the turbos or the dealer with the timing chain? both will cost around two thousand dollars - it only has 78,000 miles on the vehicle - I love it and don't mind putting in the money to fix it but I want it fixed right.

Anyone having any such issues? Can someone please help? Thanks.
