Default Traded my Corvette for an F150 Limited

Leaving behind the Vette for the F150

Hi folks, New Ford owner in Louisiana. Was torn between GMC Sierra Denali vs the F150 Limited. Ultimately the 2016 F150 had more tech and options that the Denali didn't have coming in next year's model. I'll have a lot to learn about Fords and will lurk here for while and catch up on posts. I'm really liking the truck so far, but only have 200 miles on it since Tuesday. Nice to not have an expensive garage queen

Congrats on the new truck. Glad to see people come from the dark side, i havent seen a Limited in person yet but appears to be a very nice truck! I see your in Slidell, im in Laplace. Not sure if you plan to mod in any way, if you do and dont have the ability to do it yourself, let me know, i do a bunch of mechanic work on the side.

Thanks! Yep it was a tough call to swing from Chevy to Ford. Honestly, the "Assembled in Mexico" on the inside door sticker of the GMC didn't help either. Current mod plans in the next few months are: bed cover, Roush cold air intake, tune and blendmount for my Escort 9500 ix. Sometime in the next few years when these tires need changing, then I'll be considering a 4 inch lift and 35's. May have to look you up then

John

Beautiful truck but I would have kept the Vette too! Seriously, though, congratulations on your new truck. I love my 'vettes but love our new to us used F150 truck...they are all beauftul trucks.

Thanks guys! Still missing the Vette and miss the wave from other Vette owners. I wave at some guys in Fords and sometimes get a return wave and sometimes get a funky stare. Having bit of fun modding the Limited. I've already changed the fog and license plate lights to LED (not sure why Ford didn't do this from factory), added the Bakflip MX 4 bed cover, tinted front windows yesterday, and have a Hellwig sway bar coming in today . Next on the list is a tune, maybe a CAI then likely a mild 2" lift and larger tires.
