Default STX Center Console Add: Questions How To?

Good day fellow F150 owners! I purchased a new F150 STX earlier this year because of all the rebates. Ideally I wanted an XLT model, but I couldn't beat the price of the STX model. I really want a center console and had considered going to a scrap yard and buying the center jump seat out of an XLT, but would rather have a floor console as it's only my wife and I driving the truck. Can anyone recommend a good aftermarket, or a good center console sourced from another F150 body style that you particularly like that I can check into installing in my '13 STX? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

And the flow through (in an XLT, but probably the same idea for STX): https://www.f150forum.com/f38/dont-t...onsole-148770/

Personally, I never did one, (I actually used my jump seat a few times) so talking to someone who has will certainly help out more.
Good luck either way.

Thank you guys for the welcome, and the feedback! Much appreciated! Could I just swap the fold down seat part with a fold down seat from an XLT so I can have the console box/cup holders? Or is the design and set up completely different? Thank you again!

Don't quote me on this, but I believe that I read somewhere that it's a direct fit if your going from a jump seat to another jump seat.
Try searching it up on the forum search tab. You'd be surprised how many people think like you and want basic amenities like CUP HOLDERS In their XL's and STX's! I'm sure finding the seat itself won't be an issue because so many guys on here prefer the console over the seat. I've seen some members give them away and all you'd have to do is pay shipping... Ponder around, you might get lucky.

I have a relatively new '13 F150 STX that had that silly center seat. The thing drove me nuts. I scored a matching center console off Ebay and had time to do the swap today, basically a piece 'o cake. I used air tools, removed both seats (15mm hex), unplugging the air bag connectors is a snap. With the seats out I removed the four bolts holding the center seat to its aluminum mounting frame (14mm hex), unplugged the 12v outlet and lifted out the assembly.

The console I got was a non-flow for the column shift. It drops right in and can only go one way, you really can't screw up. I drilled out four new console to frame mounting holes by simply leaving the console in place and using a 21/64" bit and an air-driven drill. With a fresh bit it cut right through the aluminum frame. I then used a 1/2" impact to install the same bolts that had held in the center seat. They will self cut the aluminum, no need to tap. I then removed the bolts, took the console back out and vacuumed up the aluminum shavings, which were all over the place. I then plugged the 12v connector back in, dropped the console back in place and ran the bolts back down. Put the seats back in, done!

I have Weathertech floor liners F&R. The rear fit perfectly but the front had to be trimmed to clear the front of the console. Before I started I'd dropped the console in place over the front mat and made a mark where the thing had to be cut. Cut to my mark with a utility knife and a small X-Acto and it dropped right in place.

Voila! No more center seat! Will add that I did this two months after rotator cuff and biceps tendon surgery, I'm still in physical therapy to restore strength & mobility. So, I essentially did it with one good arm and a flipper. If I can do it, you can too! ;-)
