Don't go by my moniker, a Lariat was my first choice when I was looking for an F150 and then I had the opportunity to be able to buy up, so I ordered a King Ranch Hybrid. JUST AS THE PANDEMIC HIT! Jumping along a year later from ordering my KR there was still no build date. My buddy is a Ford salesman I was buying it from and he couldn't get much data either. Then came one day I got a call from him in June telling me a customer ordered a Platinum Hybrid, but saw a Raptor on the lot, and cancelled the Platinum for the Raptor. I went right down and saw it, then wrote it up. 4 months later the King Ranch showed up at the dealer with a price way over my loaded Platinum Powerboost. When I saw it up close I was happy I didn't wait.
So far, knock on wood, I'm very happy with the truck. I did a 2" lift in the front with aluminum billets to even the stance. MPG with the hybrid is not as good as I expected it to be. Can't turn off auto start/stop(it drives me crazy) because it's an EV. I'm having low power 12v battery issues the past 6+ months. Dealer says battery is good three times now, I need to drive more. Why? This is the first vehicle I've ever been told to use more, on the highway, even if I don't need to go anywhere. Anyone else having this issue I can tell you that it's not the alternator because the hybrids charge from the EV battery to 12v, no alternator. I'm going back in 2 weeks to check it again! This is my current purpose for my posts right now.
The truck: Smokey Quartz(now discontinued color), Nitto Ridge Grapplers all around 265-60x20's, Hybrid, Rousch cold air intake, catch can, rigid tri-fold rear bed cover, Line-X spray in liner, DeWalt carpet in bed and bed walls for sound and cargo protection. I love the B&O Unleashed sound system! I'm sure I forgot something. I have under 4k miles on this truck to be having battery issues. When I registered my truck in Mass I got the EV tags. Little known fact is you can use municipal parking lots and park at the EV charging ports if necessary, so long as you have the tags it's okay. Just don't do it if the lot is full so Karens don't show up! If you want to know about something I have just ask. I may actually ask you something first!
