Recent F150 Buyer
Hello All!
I recently bought a 2014 F150 XLT and love it!
I had a question about an aftermarket rearview mirror, so I started looking at different shopping sites to see what I could figure out. Then it occurred to me I should join a forum.
Back in the day I had a 1971 F150 "3 on the tree". I let it go with the farm I sold and have regretted it ever since. I loved that truck.
I've been wanting a truck for a long time since and finally pulled the trigger. I have a 2008 Honda Civic as my everyday car. I do the 70 mile round trip back and forth to work in it.
My two boys are getting big, and we needed some more space when we go places so it all came together. I got 4 doors, 6 seats, a bed and all the space we could want.
We've taken a couple of road trips in it already and I've never been more shocked in my life to see two kids fighting over who gets the back seat. LOL!
Anyway, glad to be here. I'm looking to start making this truck truly mine by adding some little things here and there. I already have plenty of questions, and hope to find some interesting suggestions as well.

Nothing concrete yet. Just ideas for simple things like courtesy lights on the rearview mirror. I want to add LED's all around rather than incandescents. Probably going to do a spray-in bed liner soon.

Just put an order for a XLT this past Saturday.
I had to order for they could not find one that meets my needs.
Very excited.... First truck I'll own.
Dealer says it will take 6 to 8 weeks.
I'm not in a hurry, just want to get the right specs.
Specs:
2018 F150 XLT supercrew 6 1/2 bed
V8 engine
10 speed auto transmission
Heavy duty payload package
10800lbs towing
2900+lbs payload...
Any recommendation for what to look for before driving out of the dealers lot?
